Brass nuts for C32

That's the C32 Mercedes 250SL from the late 1960s, early 70s?

I understand the model was reproduced in Spain as a Scalextric Altaya Collection edition in the early 2000s. There will be spares available from Spain. Just a quick search ("Scalextric Altaya Merecedes 250") on eBay shows up two chassis/underpans that include the brass nut.

Scalextric Car Restorations (run by a Scalextric enthusiast) are often a good place to look for vintage Scalextric parts, but I can't find the part you're looking for on the website. It might be worth asking them by email.

An alternative is to take the car to a local hardware store specialising in nuts & bolts (they do exist) and seeing if they can find anything in stock that would do the job.

Good luck!

Yes. Thank you, that's great, much appreciated.

Bought some hex brass x 5mm and will attempt making one. Does anyone have a picture of one or a drawing which is more detailed than my nephew's sketch please? It is the main body which I imagine is knurled to be a press fit in the chassis which I don't know about.

Tried local Jewellery shop and Eye place. Goldthorpes had masses of stuff and a great smell of Parrafin, Polish and brown paper but nothing small enough.
