SmokeyJ
Having fit the sound chip (R8108) into its mounting on the engine, I went to code it up to my 'Select' controller. Expecting seven red flashes for a successful pairing I was surprised to only get 3!I checked that the engine moved around the track - it did, but sadly no sound! Also, during the pairing process the engine was silent - I'm led to believe that the engine should give off a 'whirring' sound - this time it didn't.Can anyone give me some advice, please? Thanks! Howbi
Have you pressed the Function button +1 together to turn on the sound?..........there is no whirring sound when programming.........is the loco responding to address 03 on the controller?........HB
Chrissaf
What version of the firmware does your Select have (the first number to display on screen when Select powers up)?Did you test the TTS on the default 003 address BEFORE trying to change it......if you did, was everything OK including sound?Have you issued a F1 function command to turn the sound on?.EDIT: HB had exactly the same thoughts as me questions wise, as I was typing.
