Track ideas and Layouts

Hi

New here after rejoining Scalextric world with my kids. Am I missing something? Is there nowwhere on the website or forum for track ideas and layout suggestions? I would have thought there would be a dedicated section full of choice from Scalextric and users alike. But I can’t find anything. Hope I’m just looking in the wrong place. Some guidance would be helpful

Hi There,

There are a few on here. Search for the word "layout" using the search engine to the right.

You can also go to slotforum.com and there is a thread dedicated to layout designs.

The general advice though is try to get at the longest straight possible in the layout, ideally that can ge run full throttle for about a second.

Also try to get wider radius curves in like R3 and R4.

Don't fuss too much over lane length. If both cars run in both lanes you can add the scores.
