I had already done a search about it but couldn't find anything other than this thread

The only thing I had noticed since using this method is that my HST top speed isn't as fast as it was before. Not an issue for me as my layout is only small, but I can imagine on a large layout it might look quite slow

Performance of an engine with a DVD motor will depend greatly upon the motor fitted. A 6v motor throttled by CV5 will not perform the same as a 12v motor given full rein.

I wonder if anyone has got a method of establishing the working voltage of a motor, apart from the obvious full chat smoke check.
