Twigman Posted August 30, 2018 Share Posted August 30, 2018 I pre-ordered the Gulf GT40 3 car set in January.The retailer I ordered it through quoted availability 'May 2018'It still quotes 'may 2018' as the availability date but is still only taking 'pre-orders'.It is now the end of August - no sign of any cars.....so where are the cars? woodcote Posted August 31, 2018 Share Posted August 31, 2018 My guess is that they are in China, getting ready to ship for the October 2018 'Expected' date quoted on the listing here on the Scalextric site: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/shop/themes/lemans/ford-gt40-1968-gulf-triple-pack.html Some releases come in on time, some get delayed a month or two, others (like the Ford GTEs) for much longer. I'd go by the date on the Scalextric listing and keep an eye on that if there's a delay. I suspect most retailers use the original expected release date and never update their listing until the car arrives. Some don't bother with a date at all.
