2e0dtoeric
Red face time! Now I've got my layout running with the Elite giving direct control, I decided to load railmaster to my lappie. It loaded just fine, but can I activate it, can I heck!I keep getting messages telling me - unable to enter resource - with a zero underneath on the next line. After a dozen goes, I got a different message - can't connect 12029.So I delted the lot, and started again, for the same thing to happen. My lappie is using Vista (which I hate anyway!) and Comodo for a firewall.I've contacted customercare@hornby.com and had an auto response. Anybody on here any ideas? Thanks.

Fishmanoz
Have you checked out the Administrator posts at the top of this Forum? See in the activation one the advice to go directly to the Railmaster help desk if it's still not working after trying everything rather than HCC? Graskie
I had the same trouble some months ago now, but with Windows 7, and the helpdesk were brilliant in even taking over my laptop, whilst letting me know what was going on, to sort things. It worked.
poliss
You allow remote access Graskie? You're a braver man than I am Gunga Din. I don't even like the missus going on my puter.
2e0dtoeric
Hornby replied today, a long set of instructions, and a direct link to download the latest update, which isn't quite ready yet, if I read it correctly. It looks as though it is the update that is blocking the activation. (again if I read it correctly!)
