peter_lane
Hi all,the new Duchess looks a fine model. In the promo photo on the Hornby site the trailing pony looks as if it has flanged wheels. Is this the case? If so, is this trailing pony truck fixed (as in recent releases) or is it pivoted (as all the original models were)?Next question - it is DCC ready, so is there a recommended sound chip to go with it; or will there be TTS version; or do we do it ourselves?? And finally, will the extra accessories include driver/fireman figures (please...)
2e0dtoeric
Until it is released, we can't really answer that! Most new-build Hornby loco's are DCC ready, with the socket and a blanking plug fitted. The rear truck - a lot of the larger steam loco's now have a fixed rear, and two sets of user-changeable wheels, so you can have the flanges for a display model, but flangeless for a working model.Footplate crew - we'll have to wait and see!
