96RAF Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Didn’t those MTs have a characteristic chuff-huff noise. May be due to the valve gear. I’m no expert on these things. A pity Hornby doesnt have a page of try me TTS sounds where we could listen to the basic sounds for each loco. It has been suggested but fell on deaf ears. If I was smart enough I would record all those I have and put them on my webpages but outwith my skill set unfortunately. Its going to be a case of pulling up all the TTS steamers to check how many cylinders they have and probably which type of (regional) whistle then going for a similar size and configuration for your MTs.
