richard_croft
I’ve fitted 2 locos with sound for someone (ESU Loksound 5) he came and picked them up today and I ran them round before he left and they were all ok, he’s got home and the sound works but neither loco will run. I’ve asked him to check the usual things like drivelock and the brake and they are off. He said it goes through all the sounds and revs up as if it’s moving, but just stays still. So could it be an issue with the v5 and the select? Has anyone else used a Loksound 5 with a select yet? Richard
richard_croft
Ah I may have posted too soon, hes reset his controller following the instructions in the hornby manual and they work now! if anyone else has the same issue reset your controller!Richard
96RAF
A controller reset often cures awry behaviour. Next question would have been what firmware revision is the Select running, as v1.5 is required to operate all 29 functions. Of note v1.3 catered for improved programming of ESU v4.0 decoders.
