MTB Aussie
Hi, just got some questions about the GT lightning range that someone might be able to help me with. The more I run and tune the cars the better they get. The GT lightning is a top little car once you get your head around them. 1. Who designed them? 2. What are they modelled on? 3. Any web sites with imformation on them? 4. What year was the first one released? 5. How many in the range so far 6. Any photos of the first GT Lighting or prototype? 7. Why no service sheets and parts list? 8. I have got to know anything and everything ? 9. No info on 14 red and 15 yellow
Andy P.
The are excellent little guys, aren't they? The came about the same time as the ill-fated "Start" track system so about 2010, maybe earlier. My personally opinion is that they resemble the Ginetta series of racing cars. The go by names like GT Team, or Scalextric GT. Check out scalextric-car.co.uk.There are at least a dozen of these, from basic only in primary colors to the latest fanatsy liveries.I swear there used to be service sheets... I also could not find any. Very strange. The latest "Ultimate guide" for Scalextric by Adrian Norman would have lots of info.
