Frank64
Hi, I have a hornby elite control unit, I purchased a DCC fitted engine from hornby, I connected unit to track for testing, plugged into mains and all I hear is a buzzing sound. Was under the impression that all locos were pre programmed with an address, I tried to assign an address to the loco but the red light on the control lights up, not sure what that means, there does not seem to be a button or light legend in the instructions, hoping someone can help point me inthe right direction... also how do you assign an address to a loco ? Have another one that required a 21 pin saphire connector, attached decoder to engine but got nothing from this one on track... any help greatly appreciated.ThksFrank
Flashbang
HiAll decoders (Chips fitted inside locos) come pre set with a default address number of 03.Where is the 'Buzzing noise' coming form? The loco, the console or the mains power supply unit???Is the Elite reporting a short circuit / overload or is it working correctly?
