FiledIMAGE
I have the Gu;f Set and have bougfht a Rum Bum Audi and Honda BTCC. All great cras and the Gulf cars are missiles. Presume stronger magnets for beginners. The other two cars are beautiful and the Honda BTCC had a really nice spunds and pull. ONe issue however is its super low to the ground. Even with brand new trcak there cant be any kinks or bumps as it just doesnt stay in the slot.I have just today madse a mix of old and new track and a great circuit. The Gulf cars fly on it despite some kinks in old track I am ironing out. The Honda just wont travel on it. It bottoms out onm the slightest warped track and its like the guide is thicker. Is this normal to find?Is there a place or review site showing which cars are lower etc?
Andy P.
Cars have be being produced with deeper and thicker guides for a few years now.The Honda has a higher center of gravity which is probably causing the de-slotting.The guide is also likely too deep for the older classic track. One thing that goes a long way is sanding the rear tires to increase the grip.Try checking out some of the tips here. There are also some tips here and here. Andy P.
Apart from pieces that only exist as "Classic" track such as the Goodwood chicane I have replaced all my track with Sport track.
