Frank DK
Hi guys. I'm new to Scalectric. I bought the ARC PRO PLATINUM GT C1374 and I would like to extend the kit. But I am without imagination, can only think in oval orbits. So I need help designing my new race course. I have a 4.35 x 5.00 meter space available. I am considering whether there should be 2 or 3 lanes. I've downloaded anyrail6, and have drawn the first 6 oval tracks. So all ideas are welcome. Thanks Greetings Frank
woodcote
Hi Frank - welcome to the forum! There are loads of fabulous designs here: https://slotracer.online/plans/ Personally, I really like two-lane digital tracks - they are a lot of fun and require skill to follow the racing line, overtake etc. With digital tracks, the lane changers work best at the end of a straight section. And with ARC Pro, make sure cars run right to left across the powerbase (with the ‘ARC Pro‘ lettering facing you) and do not place a lane changer just before or just after the powerbase. The best advice I can give is to build some tracks, try them out and see what works and what doesn’t. And have fun! P.S. I’ve written up some info about the ARC app here: https://slotracer.online/community/showthread.php?tid=
Frank DK
Thanks for the links, I check them out, looks exciting.Build some tracks and find out if it works or not, will not happen :-) rails are too expensive in Denmark, so it should preferably sit in the closet the first time (Danish slang, do not know what is used in English) :-)But I'm looking forward to getting started and have many hours of fun
Andy P.
Hei Frank,You can sometimes get track in Germany and the Netherlands fairly inexpensively.
