Hornby returns to Gauge O !

Well that is a turn up for the books and no mistake!

The original No 1 clockwork outline, but apparently now fitted with a three rail electric mechanism, judging by the pick-up skete visible in the enlarged picture.

It doesn't say whether it has an original type tinplate bodywork, (I hope so!), or whether it replicates the original bolted construction using genuine Meccano 5/32" nuts and bolts.

For the price I would hope it is as faithful to the original as possible, but the above mentioned differences suggest otherwise.

Will we get some carriages to accompany it?

No they do not.

I use track still made by Lionel in the USA. It is imported by a number of shops (try Tennants) , and spares dealers in the Hornby Railway Collectors Association. This is very similar to Pre-War Hornby.
