Hurricane Boy
Hi KevinFrom last Friday's Workbench posting it looks like the 1/24th scale Battle of Britain trio are the old kits. In a significant development for the Vintage Classics range, the 1/24th scale Battle of Britain era Spitfire, Hurricane and Messerschmitt Bf 109e kits are being re-introduced in 2020I think that they are still pretty good...I am going to look at the Hurricane for sure. peebeep
Re-issues. The Spitfire tooling is likely to be especially worn, so it's a case of caveat emptor. 😉
jopres57
It looks like the Spit and the 109 are both in their original Airfix schemes. I wonder if the latter still has the decal options for Helmut Wick's machine? There seems to have been some arguments over the years about the colour of his markings. mark_75
I like the look of the F6F Hellcat one! That would be too much for me just now though, i'm still at fighters and single engined models in 1:72! 😀 (When i decide to get back to it; when i can get a cabinet to put them in! I'm not keen on models dotted about the house because the flick of a duster can catch a models aerial or anything sticking out, and having very liitle weight at all, they are likely to get whisked off from where they were standing! A glass cabinet is the answer. I have one but i need a second one, a larger one. That way all the aircraft i want to collect will have space)Sorry folks, slightly off-topic there (so i stopped early).
