keithp1707821843
HiOn my new 'RailRoad, Godfrey & Mitchell Coal Merchants, Type D, 0-4-0T, No. 9 - Era 3/4' - loco a set of chains came in the pack.I wondered how you fix these to the front of the loco? (As in the picture on the web site) I assume you use a glue of some kind, but wondered which is best.Thanks.Keith
walkingthedog
I can't find a picture with chains, what shape are they?
Going Spare
I think these must be the vacuum brake pipes, supplied on a separate sprue, which plug in to square holes in the buffer beams.GS
walkingthedog
That's what I reckon. Expecting a reply of D shaped.
jane1707819582
A dab of bostik or superglue will suffice .use a pin,/needle to applicate.
keithp1707821843
Looks like you are right - D shaped. I just thought they were 'chians'. Ok so they fix into exisitng holes then.
atom3624
Do you mean the vacuum pipe, or even a 3-link coupling? Same answer as earlier - dry test then a little 'dab' of suitable adhesive - to hold but not show. Hold in position as required until setting OK.Allow to set before moving. Al.
