Paulali Posted January 28, 2020 Share Posted January 28, 2020 I hope somebody/anybody can help me,i have 2 HST sets that run perfectly in both directions,however i have a class 47 on mk3 coaches that is fine while pulling them,but when the 47 pushes the coaches,one allways derails,i have changed the coaches around and still it does it.The derailing happens on a straight run and on curves,all wheels run nice and freely. i hope i have provided enough information.All locos and coaches are hornby. ellocoloco Posted January 28, 2020 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Are you using standard Hornby couplings? If the coaches have NEM pockets you could bin the standard couplings and replace them with Hornby R8220 close couplers. These form a 'solid' connection and are more stable for propelling stock. Paulali Posted January 28, 2020 Author Share Posted January 28, 2020 Well,after checking the coupling heights and all seeming to be the same,i simply swapped one of the coaches from my HST set to the class 47 set and all seems fine,the 47 is pushing the coaches perfectly,so perhaps the coupling height was out but it must have been miniscule.The coach is running fine in the HST set,push or pull.Thankyou to everbody that replied Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
