JWRStation
Has anyone received one of these elusive Nelevators or had dealings over the last year or two with nelevation?????
atom3624
I was wondering what the £$% you were talking about, then used my mate Google: http://www.nelevation.com/nelevator/ Interesting. Al.
Rog RJ
See this thread, looks like there are problems. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/150011-nelevator-in-oo/ My advice is to stay clear, at least for now.
atom3624
It seems like it's an interesting concept - similar to Volkswagen at Wolfsberg, and some of the Hong Kong parking systems applied in miniature, but that they are not reliable to deliver on time. Looking at the price, I can almost see that in it, yet also, that's the price of a pretty decent garden shed which could be added for near unlimited 'fiddling' ... Al. Jimbo1707820979
Yes, an interesting concept, but understandably expensive. I think if you asked the missus if she would agree to you ordering one, the answer would be "Not on my nellivator !". The concept sets the little grey cells working to see if there are other less complex and more economical ways of dealing with the problem. 96RAF
We had a power file at work that used much the same principle except cam belt type drives hadn’t been invented then so it was chain drive. The indexing is the clever bit not the actual transport mechanism.
Puffed Out
That would leave your track looking pretty empty/small, as per their diagram. Pretty well anything like realistic, but I guess it's just a possible simplistic view of what it may achieve. Not for me, even if I had the cash. Jimbo1707820979
JJ It seems to be a one-man outfit working in his spare time from his regular job. Not a Bill Gates by the sound of it.
JJ73
Arr no wonder people are having to wait - perhaps he ought to take 'the plunch' & quite his regular job & spend time on his Nelevators!!!
atom3624
I hope for VW clients' sake he didn't install the lift at Wolfsburg!! Sorry, that's a bit harsh - the concept is pretty neat.I'm imagining him looking for investors on Dragons Den .... !!! Al.

JWRStation
Finally got my refund but only after legal action.. Should not be neceessary for that but there you go..It is a one man band as an addition to the main job and anyone looking at it I would say steer well clear. If he cannot even supply them properly then think about future support....Joe
atom3624
That's unfortunate it had to come to that. Well done you for getting the refund, and also for biting the bullet to trial something novel and different in the first place. Unfortunate he's able to deliver on a consistent basis. Al. Bulleidboy
It had been tested in several of the model railway magazines, with good reports, albeit rather expensive for the normal modeller.
