Nic1823 Posted May 12, 2020 Share Posted May 12, 2020 Afternoon. I was given a 'DCC Ready' Hogwarts Express, but not completely clear which decoder upgrades this for DCC. I've seen some comments that the (awaited) R8110 TTS Decoder for Castle Class will fit the Hogwards Express, but also comments online/google that this is not the correct decoder...Would someone be able to clarify please. A basic decoder without sound is fine, but would like to be sure to order the correct one.Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most recent Hornby larger locos are 8-pin with a socket in the tender and room for a speaker.Hogwarts is a Hall Class loco but a Castle Class TTS decoder will do as no one can tell the difference between a 2 and 4 cylinder loco in TTS.
