Ard Lochan
I have purchased a Scotrail class 43 DCC and a set of the new Scotrail coaches, The Loco and DVT have the Nem pocket medium width couplings and the coaches have the awfull sprung swinging narrow couplings that are incompattable with the loco, This means that when cornering they uncouple. Why o why have they done that? At near £400 for the set it is just stupid to say the least. End of rant, Regards, Ard
ellocoloco
Ard, The new Mk3 SD coaches come with Roco style close couplers. Why haven't your chucked away the horrible tension lock couplings and used these???? The Hornby Int'l locos I own have also all come with alternate Roco style close couplers. If Hornby don't bother supplying them with their OO models, order them up. R8220. Then for nearly £400 you'll have a much better looking and operating model that better represents the formations that blast through Forteviot level crossing near me with regularity.......
