Hi I'm just getting into Scalextric, what cars in the Scalextric range have the more powerful motors rather than the standard? Thanks

Hi John,

There are only two types of motor, short can also known as 13D or Mabuchi and long can.

The short can is about 18k to 20k depending on the batch of motors.

The long can are known for faster acceleration but powerer braking.

So essentially there is no such thing as more or less pwoerful anymore.

In fact, I often argue aganist strong motors as most racers don't have enough track to take adavantage of them.
