Chrissaf Posted August 10, 2020 Share Posted August 10, 2020 Hello, I have got a new hornby train set with the elink. I have been trying for 7 weeks to get it set up to no avail. I have contacted hornby numerous times, but they never return messages, railmaster keep referring to their very badly written pdf manual, and dont actually offer any assistance at all.My software is installed and updated. My elink is installed and working, I have installed the loco correctly, the only thing I cannot get to work is the train actually moving.I have followed the pdf manualI have follwed advise on this forumI have watched and followed you tube clips.If there is anyone in Kent (Maidstone area) that is willing to assist a newbie with his setup, please can you reply. All I want is to get my little train set going around the track so I can start to enjoy it, and not hate the fact that I wasted my money on it. 96RAF Posted August 10, 2020 Share Posted August 10, 2020 This is essentially what you said in your post over here...https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/railmaster-support-issues/?p=1/#post-339986 However...Have you given the loco a new DCC address or is it on the factory default of address 3.Have you listed your loco in the RM roster and has it got the same address as the loco.Did you then save the roster, close and restart RM.These are the essential steps to get the loco to respond.
