Chrissaf Posted August 14, 2020 Share Posted August 14, 2020 There should be two black wires on your TTS decoder if it is the same as a merchant navy one. One is the feed to the loudspeaker, one is the track pickup. If you look halfway along the decoder there should a red and black wire connected, these are the speaker wires. The black track pickup comes from the edge of the board. This is one wire you must not get wrong if it is the track pickup, it has the unique ability of blowing up the decoder if connected wrong. Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the decoder to work and have noticed that there is a black wire that is loose and not connected.Please could I have some advice as to wether or nor this wire needs to be connected.
