Train Kid1707817815
Hi, This thread has probably come up hundreds of times before but I always get the 'error in open port' message whenever I try to update my Elite. I have waited for the 15 seconds where needed, found the correct COM port and tried it in two different USB ports and the problem still persists. Is there anything else I can try to solve it?ThanksOwen
poliss
I presume you've read this? https://www.hornby.com/hornby-dcc/elite-firmware-update/Do you have things plugged into other USB ports? I read somewhere that only having one thing plugged in may help, although how you do it with the USB mouse unplugged beats me.Are you using the ports at the back of the computer, rather than the ones at the front? 2e0dtoeric
Lots of people are struggling to get the update to work. It took me seven goes! You would think, for such an expensive bit of kit, that Hornby could have de-bugged it properly in the first instance!
