Digital Controller Select

Digital Controller SELECT is showing power in LED light but the dial does not respond. The speed of the train does not vary. Please give some advise if I can resolve this issue.

Does the Select screen run through the boot up sequence at power up...

...i.e. show these numbers on screen - 1x then 30 then 03. (1x can be any number between 10 and 16 or may be 20 if Select is very new). What are these numbers on your Select.

 

Try a unit reset as detailed in the manual. I can’t give you a page to refer to until I know which revision state your Select is at.

Just so that we are very clear on the issue.

 

1) Did it used to work OK and has now stopped working .... that is to say you have successfully controlled a loco in the past?

 

OR

 

2) Is it the first time you are using the Select and have never tried controlling a loco before?

 

ADDITIONALLY,

 

3) Does this issue only affect a single locomotive OR all your locomotives?

and do you have more than one to try?

 

PLUS

 

4) Does your loco make a 'buzzing noise' when placed on the track?

In addition to the questions that need answering above from Chrissaf and RAF96 Can you specify ....

Are all your locos DCC FITTED?  Or are they DCC READY?   

If DCC Ready have decoders been fitted by you or a retailer etc.
