RichJW
Hi all,I'm new to the forum and under pressure to find the right cars for my 8-year old boy, so hoping I can get some solid advice :¬).I have a track, purchased in 2015, which states on the box - "Race GT1 (V) GT Prototype Continental Sports Cars".Both cars broke earlier this year, so I'm getting my boy 2 for Christmas. Whilst looking, some say "Great addition to any Scalextric set. Compatible with Scalextric ARC AIR and Spark Plug". I just want to check that if it says "1:32 Scale", then it's okay for me? I'd rather check, as they are not cheap! Thanks all,Rich
Andy P.
Scalextric cars are either 1/32 or (roughly) 1/64 scale.1/64 is slightly larger than "Matchbox" size. This might help:https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/our-ranges-explainedThose protoype cars are nearly indestructable so a "broekn" one can surely be fixed with a lilttle coaxing...See: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/support/car-maintenance

null_null981707818321
What exactly do I need to convert Carrera analog cars to Scalextric digital track? And where do I find the parts I need?
Andy P.
The C7005 retro chip will work fine. Just solder it in like you would a Hornby car and make sure the LED is less than 1 cm behind the guide. The guide may need to be trimmed or shortened though and it must be black if running on ARC PRO.Test the guide in ananlog mode before making mods.
