I would not rely on it working with all decoders of other manufacturers as the select is not NRMA compliant. it should work with all Hornby decoders but you will be limited to what CV,s you can adjust and what functions you can access. I found my select would work with a lot of the other manufacturers decoders,but I found a Bac*&^n 21 pin decoder would not work with my select. So I updated to a Elite and it would not work with that either so I had to fit a Hornby Sappire 21pin decoder. It now works fine. I think until you try them you wont know for sure.
