DonnyRailMan
Thinking about fitting a IPhone speaker into the smoke box of Gresley A1 Flying Scotsmen and Gresley P2 . Both loco's are Railroad none wire to tenders. Is there any pros & cons with that method & using that speaker ??.
96RAF
If you can get it in there then go for it, noting that you should desolder/resolder at the speaker end of the TTS wires.Ensure the replacement speaker is 8 ohm impedance and capable of handling 1 watt.Be aware that the speaker will try to grab your hot soldering iron so tape the speaker to the bench whilst working on it. ColinB
Speakers are great, just not sure it will fit. Mind you Road and Rails who sell them seem to think it will. I used a sugar cube for my P2.
