New man
Hello all. I wish to replace a damaged screen from a super resistant Veyron to one from another Veyron that has body damage. The windscreens appear to be glued at the front of the the roof and side window surrounds. I would welcome advice on how to detach the windows without damaging it or the car body. Many thanks
Andy P.
First try soaking them in warm soapy water for at least one night, maybe longer.Try to increase the temperature of the water without damaging the plastic (it should be ok right up about 70° C).If that doesn't help try to insert a very thin, sharp knife (such as an Xacto or hobby knife or scalpel) and carefully work the glue out.You are actually scraping more than cutting. At some point the glue will release and you can get it out.You can also try isopropyl alcohol (70-99%) but this can damage the body of the car. Test it on the car you don't care about or on a spot that you don't mind...
