DCC fitting a B2 Peckett

I am trying to fit a Hornby R7150 dcc chip to a recently purchased B2 Peckett.

The blanking chip and socket were not located alongside the motor so I can't work out which way round the dcc chip should go in.

I have attached photos of the loco and chip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This gives you all the information you need. In your case, the loco has no lights, hence why Pins 5 & 6 have no wires on them in the top image.

Service sheet 446 applies to this model and shows the socket, blanking plug and decoder but offers no real clues as to how they locate in the loco.

There is no associated Maintenance sheet to download but you should have gotten one with the loco and that may show how the decoder locates possibly in a slot.
