Simon123
I have a Hornby Class 31 with sound, but I cannot turn the sound off. The only way I can "shut it up" is to remove it from the track! How can I reset this? I have other locos with sound and I have no problems. I use a Select controller. Thanks
poliss
See the section in the Select manual entitled 'Locomotive Function Control'. Go to the sub-heading 'Controlling locomotive functions'. Where it says "Press and hold Function+2" substitute the '2' for '1'. According to the decoder manual F1 controls the on/off sound function. Simon123
thanks for that, however pressing the Function 1 key doesn't turn it off. It seems to be stuck in an acceleration mode and I think it needs resetting!
poliss
You can't reset decoders with the Select. You would need the Elite to do that. Maybe your local model shop could help.

poliss
It shouldn't have. CV settings should remain the same when run on DC. What controller do you use?

poliss
The feedback feature of the HM2000 might be what resets the decoder.
