Hurricane Boy
This week's Workbench Blog has some great pictures of the new 1/72nd Tempest Mk V. It looks like another winner. Should be in the shops in a few months now. The wait is almost over!Tim
Hurricane Boy
I wonder if it will allow modification to series 2 Tempests. The series 1 only had small number in production run. Should be easy enough which would open up loads of possibilities,I am sure that the short barrelled cannon arrangement of the series 2 aircraft can be modelled by reworking the long barrelled arrangement in the kit.The required parts might actually be on the sprues as they have included the early and late wheels in the kit and also the drop tanks that were not carried by series I aircraft.I tried to find a magazine article that had comparative line drawings of the various marks but seem to have missed place that. I intended to confirm from them that the belt feed blisters ( and breach blocks) had not moved and off course any other panel line or profile difference….the pictures that I have looked at for the series 1 and 2 aircraft seem to show the blisters in the same place.Cheers,Tim
