StephenE
Hi I have a couple of locomotives that have been converted to SoundTraxx Tsunami decoder chips. I need to change the address on the chip form the default 3. At the moment I find myself up against a brick wall, the decoder manual say to use service mode at any time and then it mentions using operations mode and it speaks about CV 29 restrictions whilst using operations mode> Does anyone have any proven ideas on how to go about it. Regards and thanks Stephen
Fishmanoz
Hi Stephen, just follow the instructions on page 10 of the Elite manual, that's all that's needed. You don't need to worry about anything else for now.
Gregd99
service mode is programming on the programme track. operation's mode is programming on the main track. to start off with just use the prog track.
StephenE
I have just reset the decoders id's using of all things my Hornby Select apparently the issue comes back to low voltage on the programming track, I had thought of buying SoundTraxx's PTB-100 programming track booster which amplifies the current and signal on the track also has some error testing capabilities, but then my son did some research on the web and 1 suggestion was to try using the Select controller and it has worked, so thanks to Gregd99 and Fishmanoz.
