ben-1284855
I am holding a track piece and the metal connector is circled. The black rubber thing sticking out is supposed to be directly under the metal but on all the pieces it now sticks out, so whenever I connect two pieces, the rubber kind of stays in the middle and seperates the tracks a little bit so the power doesn't go through the track. I can't put the rubber back in the metal, please help
Andy P.
That can be safely removed. In fact the C8222 classic to sport converter track recommends removing it to ensure a good connection.Once removed you can use a blunt ideally wooden tool, say an unsharpened pencil and gently expand the metal pin so it makes contact on the side. Some people pinch the metal pin so it gets a hump but I prefer splaying the pin.You could also look into copper tape. Classic track is great because of the pins you can fold the copper tape in to the "female" end ad wrap it nicely around the "male" end. It can be very fiddly with curves though... Andy P.
A sharp knife to cur them off and use pliers or tweezers to pull them out.
