rpjallan
Hi Everyone. Can anyone confirm for me whether or not the Class 71 has working cab lights? Thanks in advance...
Going Spare
Looking at videos in 2015/2016 editions of 'The Engine Shed' whilst it was in development, (which then were far more informative than the current purely marketing tool), the loco would appear to have directional lighting for the running lights and the headcode panel but not within the cab itself. rpjallan
Yeah, thanks. That's what I thought.
atom3624
If they are not standard fitment, there are plenty of 'light kits' available on Ebay.I used to have a load of just such lights, linked to the chassis through a detachable micro 2-pin plug to the chassis.Packaging can be 'very tight' on some locomotives so be careful / plan ahead! Many are too bright / light so I also have various shades of clear lacquer to dim and darken the effect.Question: Should the cab light be on when the locomotive is in motion? (And how bright?)Al.
Brush 47
I have got R 3569 class 71 and does feature cab lights, when you switch on the directional lights you press function for the cab light to come on.
rpjallan
Thanks Brush 47. That's very handy to know. I haven't fitted a decoder to it yet but I have one ready to go.
