Yes, I know all that. It is written in the instructions that come with the loco. I set up the Turbomotive in RailMaster & set CV227 to 1 at the same time. I have given up on the dongle for the moment & removed the Merchant Navy from the app. I don't have time to muck around with it at the moment.

I hope you get this sorted out. Let us know how you go.

Ok. I'll give it a go.

I've given up on that, LOL... Any clues about my other questions?

I have had precious little time for anything model railways related for a few months. I bought myself a TXS sound fitted Turbomotive as a Christmas present to myself and when it arrived I downloaded the app and made sure everything was working. I received a Bluetooth Dongle for my Elite last week so over this weekend I have set up my little test track to have a play. I have discovered a couple of anomalies and wondered if any of you experienced souls can help me out. In the Bluetooth & DCC Sound Decoder Manual that comes with Turbomotive, it talks about changing CV227 to enable realistic reverse operation of the loco. The only problem is that on the HM7000 app the CV list doesn't go up to 227. The highest CV is 222. I am at a loss as to what to do with this. I have tried some searches but haven't come up with anything. The loco works fine with my Elite in DCC mode but if I add a non Bluetooth loco to the app (my factory TTS sound fitted Merchant Navy) as soon as I select it, the Turbomotive disconnects and I have to restart the app for it to reconnect again. This happens every time I connect to the non Bluetooth loco. The app and dongle are useless if I have to quit and restart it every time I want to change locos. Also, I want to add the Turbomotive to RailMaster. Is there anything I need to be aware of when doing this? Thanks...

Thanks for that. I reckon you're correct - They're some sort of suppressor or choke. Now to find something to replace them with. Or should I even bother?

Anyone know anything about these? I have one in need of repair. Is a wiring diagram available at all? There are two components on the output with yellow heat shrink of some sort. One is obviously burnt out. I assumed they were both some kind of resistor but neither shows any resistance. Any help appreciated.

Thanks everyone for all your feedback...

When Simon Kohler came here last October to speak at our convention he spent a bit of time at Southern Models so he could claim it as a business trip. We didn't know at the time but he was probably giving them a rundown on the new TT gauge stuff & also HM7000 I guess. I still think it's pretty poor that the local distributor doesn't provide any sort of service whatsoever.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I had already read about removing the "booster". I'm not even really sure yet if I'll put sound in it being that it's an electric loco. Just another question as you seem quite knowledgeable about this loco. Is it fitted with cab lights? I assume it is but there doesn't seem any way to turn them on with DC. Here is a link to a video of mine pulling a rake of Pullmans on a friend's layout, if you're interested:

Rail Master Installer No Longer Available
rpjallan replied to Dwarfboysim's topic in Hornby RailMaster & TrackMaster
Yes, I know. I am a subscriber to his channel & left a comment on his latest video. He seems like a genuine enough guy. I've no reason to doubt him. We'll just have to wait & see what happens now. The thing is, they've been saying stuff like that for a while & nothing has eventuated... -
It's pretty poor that Southern Model Sales can't do that. I don't know if it's their fault or Hornby's. Probably Hornby's to be honest. I live quite near Southern Model Sales & 10 or so years ago you could go in there. They had a small workshop & the young lad in there was quite helpful.

So, same old story then...

I have been away for a number of weeks & haven't been able to keep up with any model railway happenings. Upon my return, browsing these forums plus YouTube & other places, there seems to be an inordinate amount of problems with this new system. Specifically the decoders. Does anyone have more than a few decoders that don't have any problems. I was really looking forward to getting some (none are available here yet & I daren't get one from overseas because the chance of having to return it seems quite high) but I'm going to give them a wide birth for now. Any comments?

Is This The Death Of RailMaster?

Is there any way we can sweet talk him?!? Like I said somewhere earlier, I have downloaded & installed JMRI but I don't really want to have to learn something new. I recorded a video last week of a RailMaster program I made on my old test track (including a screen recording) repeating using scheduling & a line at the end of the program to reset the clock. I may edit it & put it up on YouTube if anyone is interested -

I'm sorry, can't divulge my source but I regard them as very reliable. Anyone who has been still hoping for loco detection for the last 3 or 4 years is delusional I'm afraid! Sorry. There is more chance of climate change disappearing overnight! By the way, I'm not passing any judgement on whether this is good or bad (well actually it is bad because I use RailMaster) but just passing on the information... -

Fishmanoz, did you not read this: Unfortunately, I have it on good authority that indeed This Is The Death Of RailMaster! There will be no more development, bug fixes or updates. -
Thanks for the replies so far...

Unfortunately, I have it on good authority that indeed This Is The Death Of RailMaster! There will be no more development, bug fixes or updates. So I think it is time to start looking at other alternatives. I downloaded JMRI a while ago but I still haven't tried it yet. I would like to try TGG but am unsure how to access it (if that is even possible). 96RAF says above to "use TGG instead" but is there any way to access it? Has Stingray made this available to other forum members? Or indeed anyone? So, RailMaster has gone the way of Hornby Live Steam. Having said all this though, what Hornby's plans are for the future is anyones guess... -
Does anyone use the Programmable Floating Keys in RailMaster? If so, what do you use them for? Looking for ideas...
