  1. A few more images I created for everyone to use on their HM DCC app with HM 7000 decoders.
  2. I am eager to see the addition of steam generators to a broader range of locomotives, along with enhanced lighting features reminiscent of the latest Hornby Turbomotive and the anticipated Black 5. It has been a decade (2015) since the iconic A4 silvers - Quicksilver, Silver Link, Silver Fox, and Silver King - were introduced to the Hornby collection in silver. I don't like the latest silver in the Dublo range in green. Considering their significance, why not reintroduce these Silver marvels as Dublo trains, equipped with steam generators and yes, in silver? Additionally, I have a keen interest in expanding the range of wartime black Merchant Navy class locomotives. Hornby has previously released only the Aberdeen Commonwealth, a model which is now rare and seldom appears for sale. The Merchant Navys with steam generators would be great. Furthermore, I would greatly appreciate the introduction of the 'Hush Hush' locomotive to the collection with steam. This expansion would not only pay homage to the rich history of rail transport but also adds an innovative edge to model railways with steam and sound on a wide range of loco types.
  3. This is the latest acquisition for the One to One Collection that arrived whilst I was leaving Hornby's Wonder Works. A wonderful Class 60 in GWR green number 081. I had to use my iPhone as my camera was not with me. This class 60 was a surprise arrival .
  4. I guess so 🤣 BTW I have started posting my images for use in the HM DCC app of locos in the gallery. I am about to upload King GeorgeVI and Queen Elizabeth Streamlined Princess Coronation Class locos if that is of interest.
  5. Hi @Colin-379945 I'm currently working alongside Simon Kohler on a project within the video games industry. Just last week, (when I met with him), I posed your question on your behalf. Today, Simon kindly responded with detailed information about Hornby locomotives. He provided a list of all the Hornby locomotives with 'Silver' in their names, with the notable exception of the R30349 Dublo 'Silver King' BR 60016. This model is noteworthy as it's set to launch this year and will be the first Hornby 'Silver' model made in BR green. The donor model is still 2004. Tooling has been modified, and for example it will have the new drawbar between the loco and tender like the A4 locos in the Great Gathering 10-year anniversary range launched last year Here are the key details from the list he provided: - There are 17 instances of Hornby Class A4 locomotives with 'Silver' in their name. - Among these, '2509 Silver Link' appears most frequently, listed 4 times. - The dataset includes 6 unique 'Silver '-named locomotives but only 4 are actual real locos with the Silver Jubilee train set and Spencer fantasy "Silvers". - These locomotives were released over various years, with 2015 being a particularly significant year, featuring 4 model loco releases. This was for the '80th Anniversary of Silver Jubilee Loco Collection and the models were a Limited Edition of 1000 units, which is a highlight of the Silver collection over the years. Additionally, there was also a train set called 'The Silver Jubilee.' I have attached an Excel sheet Simon provided that notes the first year of release as 1979 up to 2015. The column 'donor' models indicate where the base tooling started. The 2008 donor year was for the less detailed Railroad range. This was also the model used for "Spensor" from the Thomas The Tank Engine world which was also based on the 'Silver' Jubilee range of real locos. Copy of Hornby Silver A4 loco listing.xlsxCopy of Hornby Silver A4 loco listing.xlsxCopy of Hornby Silver A4 loco listing.xlsx I hope this data offers a comprehensive guide for collectors like you. To our knowledge, there are no other UK steam locomotives in the real world with 'Silver' in the name, making this a distinct subset of the Hornby catalogue and therefore there were only four steam locos with 'Silver' in the loco name.
  6. As I am sure most of you know, the Hornby March sale is now on. I purchased the Class 87 'City of Glasgow' and the Class 50 'Triumph', both of which are also expected to arrive today.
  7. My experience aligns closely with Rallymatt's when it comes to the duration of sound transfers, which usually takes me between 11 to 12 minutes. Currently, I'm utilizing the latest iPad Pro with an M2 chip and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Interestingly, I've observed no notable difference in transfer speeds between these modern devices and the significantly older iPad Pro model from 2017 that I used initially. However, I've identified that the most time-consuming aspect isn't the sound transfer itself but waiting for the app to recognize the HM7000 chip after registering and updating the Bluetooth firmware. With 64 locomotives registered on just the iPad, it can take upwards of 12 minutes to locate the IP address of a specific HM7000 decoder, even after deactivating all other locos and their IP addresses. To expedite the process, I've started deregistering some locos and transferring them to other devices, as the app significantly speeds up when searching among only 10 or 20 registered IP addresses. Hornby has been informed about this issue and recommends a maximum of only 20 locos per device now, hence why I am looking to put some registered HM7000 fitted locos on other devices.

  9. My latest locos I purchased were from a sale at The Hornby Visitor Centre, a few A1 Terriers at 50%.
  10. As Hornby unveiled the new sound profile for the locomotive class Princess Royal last week, I'm pleased to share my current collection of Princess Royal Class images. These images are available for all forum members to utilize with their HM DCC App, alongside the new sound profile for the HM7000 decoders. Take advantage of these images I am giving to all members to enhance your model railway experience!
  11. For some reason the Class 43 ' City of Edinburgh " Intercity loco never saved. Here it is. Class 43Intercity Swallow
  12. Here are a few Class 43 locomotives with the Power/DVT units, also available as separate images in case you want to synchronize the front and rear locomotives with two decoders. As always, these images can be freely used by forum members with the HM DCC App and HM 7000 decoders, or for any other purpose. Hope they are of use to you all. Class 43Intercity Swallow
  13. Hi @gilbo2 Each image is individually shot with an engine shed sat in a photographic lightbox. A straight track is placed in front of the shed and each loco is then positioned on the track and photographed. To edit, I use Lightroom. Hope that helps. Always under expose to avoid burnt-out highlights that cannot be worked on in Lightroom or Photoshop.
