SteveM6
First of all, don’t power the track/loco with a DC supply via the Duette - it won’t end well. See the tread on this forum about compatible power supplies. As for the resettable device message, the recommended fix for this is to power off the layout and loco for two or three minutes and also power off your phone/tablet.when you switch everthing back on rescan from the app and it should show as a linkable device. Fishmanoz
HM6010 - this is an HM | DC accessory device, not an HM | DCC one. Most likely you have found the wrong app. in your shop, look for and install the HM | DCC app. Now scan for your decoder from the app.
SteveM6
I should have spotted that!If as Fishy suggests, you have tried to link to the wrong app, you will need to get a reset code from Hornby Customer Services and download the correct HMDCC app to your phone/tablet. Maisy-363966
Thanks chaps, yes something odd going on here. But how can I have downloaded the wrong Hornby HM-DCC app? I can see there is another one now, but both are by Bryter Digital
Fishmanoz
There are two apps. The wrong one is HM | DC. The correct one is HM | DCC. Their logos are similar but the second C is significant.
96RAF
You should have read this sticky post which was raised to prevent this happening.https://uk.hornby.com/community/forum/linking-hm7000-decoders-to-the-wrong-app-dont-do-it-348284?ccm_paging_p=3#end-of-replies

96RAF
Do you actually have an HM6010 module.https://uk.hornby.com/products/hm6010-app-based-accessory-control-r7293?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx9bh5KCdgQMV0oFQBh0l7Q-1EAAYASAAEgIv2vD_BwEor is the app using your decoder ID thinking it is a accessory module. The decoder ID is on the box HM7000-#### where # is any letter or number, E.g. 7000-A1B2.Not to be confused with the decoder type which in your case is HM7000-21TXS.
