Neil -366507
Hi, I find myself supporting a gentleman with a learning disabilty that loves his scalextric. His brother in law used to look afetr his cars etc. but is no longer able to do this.I'm reasonablly handy with a hammer but not so good with electrics. Most of his cars no are not working or work intermittently. I see some look like they have worn their tyres out as they no longer make contact with the track and the braids(?) are fraying. He had a car repaired recently and it now struugles to work as if there's no power getting to it.Can anyone offer me advice as to what I should be doing to keep him up and running. Thanks for lookingNeilCornwall
Andy P.
Hi Neil,The very best place is to try to find a local slot car club as they will very surely be able to help:https://slotracer.online/community/showthread.php?tid=167In general though it sounds like the rails need polishing, braids replaced and the tires swapped. Most of the stockists around can help finding the right products and can often explain how to do it.There is also the advice section here:https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice
