Hugh-371867
Hi allI been through the forum and seen a few similar posts so sorry if a repeat. I have the 1:64 scale micro set for my kids aged 7 and 12, which is fun but they have outgrown it. Looking to step up to the full size is that 1:32? The micro I felt wasn't great quality etc so want something decent that will last and I can add too. I was also looking second hand and see items like the digital supercars set with the Bugattis. Is this the latest and can I add to this and get new cars, do these have controllers and can I use iPad etc ? It's all a bit confusing any idiots guide ?! Andy P.
Hi Hugh,Scalextric "Sport" as the 1/32 scale system is called has not changed in well over 15 years.Apart from the general condition of the track (i.e. rust) there really is nothing that can go wrong with it. I have lugged entire layouts to events and fairs and it was always fine.Digital components have also been the same since its inception so there is always compatibility there as well.iPad would require that the power base be of the ARC series.I think almost all is explained here:https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice?support_advice_type=all&page=1good luck and let us know if you need more help!
