Simon-369848
As a newbie, I am looking to complement Hornby with Peco wagons, but for accuracy, are they both compatible regarding scale? I have seen a you tube that shows that buffers on Peco wagons are very slightly higher than Hornby wagons? Is there a solution or should I stay with Hornby wagons (limited so far). Thanks for any advice.
What About The Bee
Hi SimonIn real life, buffers do not align precisely either. The manufacturer of the stock, the railway operator, the load, the country, etc; All these contribute to misalignment and interoperability issues. In modeling, our buffers are almost entirely cosmetic. Their alignment does not matter, because they never touch. The 'slight' misalignment will be strictly a matter of personal taste. Unless this leads to buffer lock, or other real issues, then misalignment is strictly how you want it to look.Bee
