Brad -1323496
My current auto reverser (MRC AD520, see pic) cannot handle my new HM 7000 decoders. When running 3, 2 or even 1 loco with the HM 7000 the MRC keeps clicking and changing polarity every second or so. Track voltage reduces and train performance immediately declines. It thinks it is receiving a dead short. In reality it is copping less than 1 amp (according to the cab). Anyone else had these problems? All I can think of is upgrading the auto reverser. I think the current one is a bit of a cheapy. Has handled up to 6 locos in the past with TTS decoders and an NCE Power Cab. Using Bluetooth or the Power Cab makes no difference. Auto Reverser keeps switching. - Brad
96RAF
The on-line manual gives no indication of the trip current or sensitivity. As for cheap $50 is not exactly peanuts. If you haven't already read it you may wish to view this guide, which explains more about trip currents, etc. -
Brad -1323496
Thanks, it might help steer me in the right direction. Yes I shouldn't malign the "cheapy". It has done sterling work looking after the reversing loop. For a medium layout it's ideal.
