Grumps123
Airfix Bren Gun Carrier & 6 Pounder AT Gun 1964 tool 2018 box A01309V My latest build, lightly weathered as recently arrived in France post D-Day landings (51st Highland Division landed on Juno Beach 6 June 1944), went together easily and reminded me of my childhood. 🙂
Valhalla
Very nice Grumps. Curiosity got the better of me and I wondered why the 51st would be using American Bren Gun carriers so I looked up some of the historic photos and sure enough there they were. Just don't understand why as the British did have their own. I'm sure a lot of the British at the time weren't happy about it.

modeling maniac
I like the Churchill, the driver of the DKW behind won't be too happy cruising at less than 10 mph.

Ratch
Nicely done, and an unusual scheme on the fire tender, Guy. As its a post war vehicle I guess a little artistic licence is allowed 😇
jopres57
After the discussion on the difference between 1/72 and 1/76 scale in another part of the forum it's interesting how the vehicles and figures blend seamlessly with the Defiant.

I decided that this fire tender was perhaps available in 1940. I got the idea for the colour scheme from a previous discussion where you provided the differing RAF vehicle schemes during and post WW2. 👍
Ratch
The Austin K6 is certainly post-WWII, and I was under the impression that fire tenders were grey, but I could be wrong.

I have seen photos of RAF fire tenders in dark earth and brown as well as grey. As this Austin K6 was (in my imagination) available in 1940 so it would fit on my WW2 dioramas, I gave it an AFV scheme (Khaki no 3 and Dark Green no 4) from that period. Totally non proto-typical!
