pidder Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 A quick search seems to show that a thread some time ago discussed the use of function 4 to operate a whistle or horn on a loco not otherwise fitted with sound. This seems to provide a suitable signal for such locos approaching, say, a level crossing. I presume the function wire would connect to an appropriate printed circuit or integrated circuit, then operating a small speaker.
