Hi all 👋

Here's some photos of my recently finished 1:48 Airfix Supermarine Seafire F.XVII, finished as SX138 of No. 807 Naval Air Squadron, H.M.S Vengeance, 1947

Was a cracking little build, would love to add a 1:48 Sea Vixen to display alongside it 🙏

I thought they were to do with landing back on the carrier.

Cool. Thanks. I just didn't know.

Although it's my main genre, I'm more interested in the process of making them and seeing their lines.........so there's tonnes I don't know about the real things 🙈😁

Very nice Casper 🏆

Question - what are the red/green/yellow lights on the underside for?

Gavin.

Hi 👋

They were shown on the painting/decal placement part of the instructions, so guessed it should of been done like that 🤷‍♂️

Are they not identification lights (IFF) Identification Friend or Foe ?

After a Google search I see you are right 😊 it was informative.

They had to display a certain code, for that particular day, under differing circumstances.

I had no idea. Thank you.

Gavin.

I like the uniformity of the grey, and sky underside for that matter.
Did you spray or brush?

Hello 👋

Airbrushed what I could, using hand brush for the small detail work. All with Vallejo ModelAir paints.
