Ratch
ย I am looking at something slightly different if possible. I have started painting internal surfaces. The pilot, and details.
Ratch
What a delightful build this is. Less than thirty parts to put together, assembly takes very little time. Memories of throwing a kit together before dinner.ย I have found a scheme I like for WkNr 7254 of Jg2 St Pol, France, 1941 in RLM02/71/65 with yellow identification markings. I have masked the canopy and wheel wells and primed white as a preparation for the yellow.
Ratch
I airbrushed Humbrol Trainer Yellow from a dropper bottle.
Ratch
I masked off the rudder and nose then airbrushed RLM02 over the canopy and upper surfaces.
Ratch
I masked the under surfaces and then sprayed RLM 65. This was done including the stand. I then masked the splinter pattern and sprayed RLM 71 with mottling, followed by mottling of RLM 02. I brush painted any touch-ups where required.
Ratch
More touch-ups and she's nearly ready for decals.
Ratch
I sprayed a coat of Klear in preparation for the decals. I used the kit balkencreuz with additional markings from FCM, Tally Ho!, and Fantasy Printshop applied with Vallejo Decal Medium. I masked the canopy again, then sprayed matt varnish. When dry I could add the aerial wire. WkNr 7254 of Jg2 St Pol, France, 1941. ย Conclusion: What a refreshing built. Simple construction aided by well designed, precisely fitting parts. Everyone who builds this should take great pleasure in the build experience and the finished product. It looks right to me. I donโt get the micrometre out and look for errors, so I cannot say with authority that itโs spot on, but it certainly does a good impression. Entry level complexity of build with quality, precision mouldings. A winner in my book.

null_null981707818191
The mono pictures are especially effective - and the project underlines that OOB (for the most part!) "basic" kits can produce really nice models. Thanks for sharing.
