Airfix A 04065 DH Mosquito PR XVI

This is the last Mosquito edition from Airfix. The PR version has on both variants D-Day stripes but not decals for that.

So what can do if  I don't like to messure and paint?

Find a new option!

In the book "Mosquito" by G. Simons published by Pen and Sword in 2011 i found a interesting option on page on pasge 101:

An all-black painted PR.Mk.XVI Special Operations Mosquito from the 492nd Group for "Red Stocking" operations.

Only the "K" comes from my decal stash.

That's a neat looking replica. It seems that when building an aircraft kit, overall black is quite often a good option.

Looks stunning I black, I have airfix's Mosquito B-XVI and did the night raid one, scheme B I think.
