  2. Thank for the link. It looks good, if are some crew members on the boat, Severn and hope soon Shannon class. Matthias aka modelldoc
  3. Nice, not a Red Arrows, good idea. Had done the same Matthias aka modelldoc
  4. Right, all "old" vehicles are in 1:76, Airfix gave them the wrong scale 1:72 for a while, because this scale is better for the continent. The new kit, like the Willys or the RAF / USAAF sets are in 1:72. Matthias aka modelldoc
  5. The Recovery and Emergeny sets are in 1:76, and the Austin K 6 is an unusul postwar version, see it on the civil number plate. So we would like to have a new Emergeny set with a Ford WOT 3 fire engine and for the Recovery set would be nice to have a Commer Q 2 and a light Coles crane. Matthias aka modelldoc
  6. Yes, it not a shake and bake kit, but nice and you must work very carfully. I had finished the job. Matthias aka modelldoc
  7. Yes, you need all space in the front and perhaps some behind the cockpit. The barrel in the kit is for the option, if your weight was not enough. Matthias aka modelldoc
  8. I use Flickr too and for my models I had made a little scenery with a sky background and an airfield. Mostly there are some people or cars. So you have a better proportions for the model. Matthias aka modelldoc
  9. Excellent job, @Airfix, we need more ground support equipment. Matthias aka modelldoc

  11. It's in my stash, time to build.
  12. Yes, the Lifeboat is on my list, so I'm satisfied. Matthias aka modelldoc
  13. Excellent kit, we need it from Airfix, thanks Ratch Matthias aka modelldoc
  14. Here is another ACE kit, the Salamander crash tender, not easy to build, but unique: Matthias aka modelldoc
  15. Hasegawa Rosenbauer airport fire crash tender with new decals : Matthias aka modelldoc
  16. The nice part of most of the Matchbox kits are the different options, so the Halifax can also be this: The Halifax GR.II Series IA was the definitive Coastal Command variant of the GR.II with glazed nose mounting .50 in (12.7 mm) machine gun, Merlin XX or 22 engines, B-P A-type dorsal turret and extra long-range fuel tanks in fuselage. A ventral turret holding a single .50 in (12.7 mm) machine gun was mounted on most aircraft although some employed the ASV.Mk 3 radar in its place. Matthias aka modelldoc
  17. Revell has the kit also for a year. Here is my conversion into a Target Tug : Matthias aka modelldoc
  18. Thanks Ratch for the report, Father Christmas brought me the kit, I hope Ican build it soon. BTW, Airfix says in the instruction the name Lightning is not used, but on the official RAF website, they call the jet Lightning, no problem. Matthias aka modelldoc
  19. It's look good, this aircraft was one of the later modify in the Dresden aircraft for the fighter - bomber variant. BTW, silver is one of THE PROBLEM for modellers. modelldoc
  20. Thanks, at the moment I have these other picture . BTW, the kit has a secret in the box. There are also the Egyptian SAKR rockets in the box, so I hope for another version in the future. modelldoc
  21. I had build this kit, because it's a special option of this fighter, sadly, nobody knows Lim-5, but all know MiG-17 Fresco. About the original: The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-17; NATO reporting name: Fresco) is a high-subsonic fighter aircraft produced in the Soviet Union from 1952 and was operated by air forces internationally. The MiG-17 was license-built in China as the Shenyang J-5 and Poland. In 1955, Poland received a license for MiG-17 production. The MiG-17F was produced by the WSK-Mielec factory under the designation Lim-5 (an abbreviation of licencyjny myśliwiec – licence-built fighter). From 1973 to 1975, 47 MiG-17Fs received an additional suspension per wing between the fuselage and the additional tank at the Dresden aircraft hangar on the basis of the LIM-6bis and were used as fighter-bombers, equipped with two "Mars" containers for 16 unguided 57 mm S-5 rockets or two 250 kg bombs each. These MiG-17s were the only ones to fly with a brown-green camouflage paint and blue underside, all others had been left in natural aluminum. The aircraft were used in the JBG-31 in Drewitz, which was founded in 1971. modelldoc
  22. Nice build, remember thar FROG has the same in 1:500, had build it decades before. Matthias aka modelldoc
  23. Thanks Ratch, I'm on the other way, one of the next projects are a caravan or a Austin K 6. BTW, the checkerboard was the greatest problem. Matthias aka modelldoc
  24. The little Matador truck comes here as an airfiled control truck. The Willys is from Matchbox so we have 1:76 scenery. Matthias aka modelldoc
