A J Rimmer
Both of those look very good Andy - I've be very happy with those if I were you. I've never had a go at rigging a biplane, I guess I'll have to bit the bullet at somepoint. @Dominic Thomas That's a great tip - I would never thought to do that. Thanks!
Dominic Thomas
3 hours ago, Topcat_Ern said: Ian, if it helps, I used the rigging guide from the 1/48 instructions. I decided that adding the control cables on the 1/72 was just too fiddly so only put them on the 1/48. Andy Andy, while on the subject of great tips, your one about using bigger scale instructions to help in smaller scale construction is really good. I’ve got a library of instructions to help with (for me) 3 key areas : cockpit, undercarriage/bays, and rigging. And these new Airfix instructions with thumbnail views from different angles are especially helpful when viewed for a larger model.
Valhalla
That's it rigged as best I can. Remind me not to rig another 1/72! 🙂 Ian

I think I would favour 1/48 for rigging as I'm all fingers and thumbs at this scale. Also had to have a sheet of white paper behind so I could see the thread! Topcat_Ern
Agree, over the weekend I ordered the 1/48 Bulldog to rig that. Andy

modeling maniac
Nice job Ian, having never done a biplane so I can't give anyone any tips on rigging them.
Ratch
Rigging does become easier (the more you do) and your Tiggie looks the better for it 😍
