60157
Hi could some one please tell me how to check whether railcom is enabled or not on the elite Please thanks60157
Fishmanoz
The Elite 1.41 manual says RaikCom is automatically enabled in Operate Mode when a read back request is received. Operate Mode is the one used to do on track programming of a decoder. The decoder will need to have RailCom turned on via CV 29 before it can read back. Hope that helps. Fishmanoz
For anyone puzzled by this, RailCom is a feature whereby a decoder can provide feedback on its status to the controller. Normally, only the controller can talk to or read the decoder, not the other way around.
Gregd99
The 8245 decoder uses railcom in simulation mode to send back to the elite the available fuel and water in the decoder.
